What a great day!
7 Aircraft. 19 Crew. 20 vintage and antique cars, great flying weather, hospitable hosts.
Thanks to Captain Mike Barnier for organising a great day for the enthusiastic club members. Between 9.30 am and 10.30 am the aircraft departed for Inverell North airstrip, a private runway on the eastern side of Inverell.
Mike had organised transport to the Inverell RSM Club for lunch and then back to the airstrip to view our host Bob and Susanna’s collection of cars. Fantastic! The shed/hangar alone brought a tear to a few of the assembled enthusiasts.
It was a slightly less calm flight home to Gunnedah. We were all back by 4pm for cool Coke on the verandah of the Clubhouse.
Thanks to all for reinforcing why we love to fly.
